Have been practicing seriously for the past few days so as to ensure that I can proceed on to my Advanced Make-Up Workshop soon! However, got problem practicing the more important stuffs.

First is my eyebrow, cos had given the brush to my mum after I had shifted!
Second will be the eyeliner. Never applied eyeliner before so dun have!
Lastly, my blusher had run out already!

So tell me how to get a thorough practice? Need to buy make-up liao, can't wait till GSS anymore.

Yesterday, I went to one of my favourite spot -- Sephora at Ion Orchard!!! Its simply the most convenient one-stop beauty store!!!

After walking around for almost an hour, I had finally decided to pick up the stuffs that I want from M.A.C. It has always been my favourite brand and highly recommended by professional -- Stella.

Da Lang... This is what I had bought!!!

That's an eyebrow brush! The hair was SUPER SOFT as compared to my old ones! So when I tried to use it today, I had a problem drawing my brows properly. Not sure is it because its brand new?

And it can be used as an eyeliner brush too... With a budget? Get an eyebrow brush first!

For blushers, 2 important colours that all girls must have would be PINK and ORANGE!!! These 2 colours will give a totally different kind of feel when you want a different look or style.

And I bought "Well-Dressed", a very elegant pink that I had tried during my workshop with Stella. And it also gives a very natural look!

There's 2 different types of eyeliner -- Liquid or Gel... A lot of people prefers the Liquid Form, even on 女人我最大, its only Liquid eyeliner was recommended.

The reason why most ladies prefer Liquid to Gel would be first, its easier to control as compared using a brush. Secondly, Gel dried up easily, so usually ladies dun get to finish using it!

But when I was with Stella, she was using the Gel form and highly recommended by her. That's why I bought the Gel form instead, as you can see! Heehee....

She is really a very ethical make-up artist, she finds that Liquid eyeliner got to be changed every 3months. Whether got finish or not, definitely got to throw away due to hygiene reason. She felt that whatever things that is in contact with the eyes got to be cleanse or changed regularly!

And furthermore, no worries it will dry up easily. After you had dipped your brush in the eyeliner, just overturn the bottle and place it on the table. This will stopped the air from getting in and thus prevent it from drying.

Isn't it a smart way?

Was catching up with some girlfrens yesterday! Its simply WEDDING TALK again!

Yesterday's talk was not like the usual, diet, wedding package, facial and etc. Because one of my girlfrens will be selecting her gown today, so its more like a GOWN TALK!

For me is like sharing my experiences with her!

I guess I am a Couch Potato! Even Miss Universe, I am also a fan! Well, its a good thing, cos I got lots of inspiration from there. Of course, not for wedding gown, its evening gown!

And because of this, I start searching all kinds of design from the internet. Trying to search the kind of gown I like... And I printed out for my designer to take a look...

I like the overall grand feeling and nobody got pink as their wedding gown. That's why I like!

This is the evening gown that caught my eye in Miss USA!

I still got more! Beautiful right? But well, THINGS THAT YOU LIKE MIGHT NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOU! I guess this is a fact of life!
Cos nothing I picked is the same as wat I wan or they dun have it! BUT, I am still happy with what I have!
So based on my experience, let me share with you some tips...

Top 5 Tips For Gown Selection

1) Do your research before your gown selection

2) Communicate with your designer what you like and dun like

3) Bring your frens along to give you some advices

4) Do not reject any recommendation by the designer based on your own thinking

5) To speed things up, dun be shy (its ok to show your breast to your designer!)

HAPPY GOWN SELECTING!!!!

Today's make-up workshop with Stella is definitely ENRICHING and FUN!!! It was totally hands-on. What happen is that she will demo by putting on the make-up on her face first, then its my turn to apply the make-up on my face!

This was the recommended BB cream by Stella which you can't find it in Singapore!

I was super white when I applied the BB cream onto my face, but Stella said, "No worries!" It was only the beginning. After a while, it will blend in together with my skin!

Pai say! Following on, there's no pictures for you to see! I am a good student, of course must pay attention, cannot keep snapping pictures mah!

After the BB cream, then start applying concealer, then brush some 2-way cake powder on my face. Surprisely, despite so many layers, but my face still look very natural. My normal 2-way cake had made my face very cakey!!!

Then follow on by the eyes, from drawing eyebrows to sticking double eyelid sticker. From applying eye shadow to eye liner, then finally mascara.

The final touch up would be the blusher and another layer of 2-way cake.

Everything was taught to me step by step! Stella is very patient, especially I am such an inquisitive kid. Not only the steps in make-up, she will also share some tips about brushes, eye shadow colour, concealer and etc.

And most importantly, she told me that Singapore make-up school most of the time is not very reliable... Tat's something I would like to know! And she will recommend me her fren if I would like to get a cert!

That's definitely an awesome idea!

She is also offering Advanced Make-up Workshop that I can't wait to attend. She asked me to practice on my make-up till I confident then come for the Advanced class.

Totally no product selling and not pushy at all! She just want you to understand and enjoy the art of make-up!

Check out Stella on her website... http://www.makeupbystella.com/index.html

All thanks to Stella and her professionalism!

Choosing the right make-up school is so frustrating! Some website look super posh, does that means its a good school? And some website look super "lo kor", does that means its very old school kind of teaching?

But darling is right! Good website means good marketing skill! Old website means bad marketing skill! So its very difficult to judge like that...

DARLING IS ALWAYS MY HERO!!! ALWAYS HERE FOR MY RESCUE!!!

He suggested that I should go to some workshops instead. Even though all workshops offer basic personal make-up technique, I should still go and take a look. If I am still passionate about it after a few workshop, that would most likely mean that this is something I want.

So I went to search and found two that I love... One is Fionna Lau and Stella Leung... Both of them had very good portfolios and experiences, but with drastically different styles... Fionna is good with nude look and Stella is good with colour combination...

After running through, I decided to go with Stella. Since I like interesting make-up for my wedding shots, then definitely I like to play around with colours. Nude look seems to be quite boring for me!!!

Can't wait for tomorrow to come!!! Just nice that Stella got an empty slot for me in the afternoon tomorrow!!!

WILL SHARE MORE ABOUT IT TOMOLO!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Had been doing alot of research on courses for make-up and which school to go over the weekend?

SCRATCH HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phew.... There's SO MANY different make-up school in Singapore!!! Even though, each school offers about the same syllabus in general, but some of the important syllabus are spread in different schools. You can find this school with this, but not that kind.

So which school is the best? There's not much forum available in these area where I can make reference to! And whatever testimonial posted on the website cannot be trusted one lah! Of course, they will put up the good ones! Haiz... damn sianz...

And the crucial considering factor would be pricing! Basically, all the courses offered range from $2,500 to $3,000 and its only for a certificate, not even a diploma yet! With this kind of pricing, of course must get the best school mah!

I am so scared that after paying $3,000, then I realized that this is not for me!

Anybody can give me any advices on which school should I attend?

Its was always great meeting up with frens! Its only through dialogue then you are able to realize certain things!

Just had dinner with my ITESD gals -- Mei Hui, Yi Jie and Ann Nee... It was definitely great catching up with them... Sharing each of our recent life and getting some advice...

BUT WHY THE SUDDEN DECISION IN MAKE-UP?

When Mei Hui was here as she is late, we are happily talking about dieting! U know lah, when brides gather, diet will definitely be the first topic that we touch on...

And I was very amaze with myself after my sharing on dieting! I din realize that I had so much knowledge on the different kind of food, and the nutrients in it. Not only you can have a healthy diet, but also good for the skin!

There comes Yi Jie's pimple raid, which had also cause her so many problems. WOW!!! I can tell that her face is dehydrated and due to stress and lack of sleep... SUDDENLY I FELT LIKE A FORTUNE TELLER... for the face!

And I can still continue on with what to try? How to massage the face? How to wash the face?

Then all thanks to Ann Nee! "I think you should start to blog about beauty, facial and make up!"

Yah, she's rite! Honestly, I din realize that I am always so passionate about making the face beautiful till today!

Yeh, I finally made up my mind! MAKE-UP IS FOR ME!!!!!

I have been talking to various friends this two weeks about WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Really very confused about WHAT MY PASSION IS? WHAT AM I CAPABLE OF? WILL I SUCCEED IF I DO THIS?

All these questions kept flashing into my mind! And not only that, the answers seems to be flashing around too. Every friend I talked to, an option will just popped out...

Junying, my manicurist suggested that I can picked up manicure and pedicure, since I am always so fascinated about it!

Then one of my good fren, Dyanne was suggesting that I should start my fashion design course since I always love pretty clothings. Furthermore, DUN let my sewing knowledge gone to waste!

Here comes my darling... He felt that maybe a make-up course would be more suitable for me. First of all, my entire process for my wedding make-up was filled with excitement and questions! Then buying make-up and watching 女人我最大 is all along my hobby!

SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Now, machiam like walking into Cineleisure, not sure what's screening and all the billboards look interesting!

Anybody can tell me what to do? All these options are interesting, and I guess I like doing it... But making it into a career is a total different scenario!

There's simply too much fear in me.... Fear of Failure... Fear that is 三分钟热度... Fear I make the wrong choice... Fear of age issues... Fear of reality... fear Fear FEAR...

I HATE FEAR!!!! GET LOST!!!

What to do? What to do? What to do? Anybody can help me? Anybody?

It was always great to have a break when ur lost and confused! Fortunately, my Darling had a week conference at Capella, and he needs to stay at Sentosa overnight.

You might be going crazy now! Wow!!! Capella lah!!! Its a 6-star hotel in Singapore! Its super expensive! Can tell that they are earning alot cos their sales are carry Armani suitcase and Boss suit!

But too bad, its not Capella... How I wish is there? It was fully booked by the conference, got to stay over at their neighbour's -- AMARA SANCTUARY!

Actually, Amara Sanctuary is also not too bad, but of course in my opinion still no fight against Capella!

To be fair, the two hotels are of two different styles! Amara Sanctuary is more of a Spa Hotel. When I step into the lobby, everything is very clean cut, which gives a very comfortable feeling.

Then on the way to the room, I passed by a man-made waterfall. The rhythm of the falling water seems to lift up my heavy burden on my shoulder, and made me more relax!

Finally, there comes my room!

When I walked into the room, a sense of coziness welcome me immediately! The bed is very comfortable, I almost fallen asleep immediately whenever I was on the bed!

It was definitely a very cozy area next to the bed! I can stay there with my book for hours!
5 days there, couldn't only be touring Sentosa, reading and watching TV... Luckily, got bring my laptop along! Isn't it a great study area?

What's next? Of course is the toilet! Its one of the most important place for me! What makes a hotel 5-star or 6-star, its definitely the toilet! Isn't it neat and tidy and I felt that the design of the sink is very special!

The bath tub -- one of the most relaxing area in the entire room! I always love to stay in hotels, and the reason would be there is a bath tub where I can't get it in HDB flat. I love to soak myself in warm water with different flavours of bubble and sea salt!

Then the toilet bowl... I hate the dustbin beside it! No matter how hard I step, it just refuse to open!

I am staying on the 4th level, which was near the sky pool! If you need some massage, and can't afford the service of Amara Sanctuary, you can try the jacuzzi pool.

Slacking at the pool side, slurping my coconut juice and indulging the beautiful view ahead had definitely made my day!

Overall, in terms of service and facilities, Amara Sanctuary is definitely a 5-star hotel. But the room service food was not that fantastic for a 5-star hotel! If you asked me to pay $320++ for the room, I would expect more from it!

What am I good at? WHAT AM I GOOD AT? Arghh......
Why is this question always been popping out in my life? Why am I always lost and confuse about my life direction? What's wrong with me?
I really wanna to find something to do, start a career, start afresh! But what can I do now? I am already 30, and yet still like a blur cock that just step out of school!
For the past 10 years, I had done different and drastic jobs! Ranging from customer service to accounting, from admin to debt collector, from IT to even insurance agent... But none is successful! My frens of my age are doing very well, and some are managers... And yet, I am still trying to stay afloat!
AM I FATED TO BE A LOSER? AM I TOO OLD TO TRY NEW THINGS?
I simply refused to admit this!!! But somehow reality just able to find its mean to slap you on your face!
I'm doing my best to be strong and have FAITH! Please HELP ME!!!
TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO?
