Chinese New Year has come to closure to the TANG FAMILY
after our last House Visiting over the weekend!
Ansley also have a SUPERSTAR look!
It is really a FUN Chinese New Year with Ansley around this
year! Hopefully next Chinese New Year, Ansley is fit and healthy! We will
definitely have even more FUN!
Time to consolidate cute pictures of Ansley’s 拜年 endeavor!
J
One week before Chinese New Year, Ansley learn how to “Gong
Xi Gong Xi” in his class at Happy Train. From then onwards, whenever he heard
“Gong Xi Gong Xi”, he will put up his hands and give me the “Gong Xi Gong Xi”
action!
初一! Ansley in his handsome outfit bought by 姑姑! And
btw, “Ansley, you need two oranges to 拜年!”
As Ansley had fallen sick before the Chinese New Year, we
didn’t manage to go to a lot of places, but we manage to pop by Jojo’s place
coincidentally!
Jojo LOVES Ansley and Ansley LOVES Jojo! Jojo welcome Ansley
with his friendly barks and licking tongue! And surprisingly, Ansley is not
that afraid of Jojo! After Jojo lie down, Ansley’s hands are all over Jojo –
sayanging him!
And during weekdays, 拜年still continues! Grandma
also brought Ansley out to Grandauntie’s house to 拜年!
Grandauntie is so happy that she took out all of 表姑姑’s
toys for him to play and Ansley can’t stop having fun with all the toys!
表姑姑 got a lot of glasses! Show you a nerdy look!
TIME TO GET BACK TO WORK!

It was pretty crazy for the past two weeks! So many things
seems to be happening at the same time! Chinese New Year… Spring Cleaning…
House Visiting… Ansley’s sick… And I’m sick…
Look at him! So sick! Running a fever at 38.7 degree! Just a
BLUR FACE and not a sign of wanting to cry!
I almost find it torturous when there’s so much to complete
and yet so little time. Fortunately, I HAVE ANSLEY along this endless path of
cleaning up!
Ansley was sick ever since he starts school in January.
Suddenly on Wednesday… WEE HOURS… He starts to run a fever, but he DID NOT CRY
or even WHINE! I guess he knows that both Popi and Momi have been cleaning up
the house till very late, so he didn’t wanted to disturbed us. SUCH A FILIAL
BOY!
Thank goodness I woke up and shifted him a bit. If not, I
will never ever know that he is running a fever!
After meeting the PD, after dosage of medication, this
little sick boy is still as energetic as ever! Trying his little means and ways
to contribute to the family!
Isn’t Ansley an ANGEL? With a patch on his little head,
still putting in effort to learn how to zip up the sofa cover!
Still yet to recover fully, Ansley is still like a LITTLE
WARRIOR! All ready for all the challenging task on the very next day!
Ansley’s enthusiasm is SUPER INFLUENTIAL! Spring Cleaning is
no longer a CHORE, but a HAPPY THING to do with Ansley!
Thank you for all your encouragement, MY LITTLE WARRIOR!

We chanced upon DUKE BAKERY when we popped by United Square
over the weekend. The intention is just to buy a pair of shoes for Ansley, but
ended up we found some goodies too J
WHAT A CONTRAST! We decided to step in and check out the
very limited bread variety on the shelves – around 6 TYPES!
We also picked some really HARD TOAST! It’s one of the kind
of snack that we had during our childhood days, but with a few more punches of flavor!
A mixture of chocolate, raisins, sugar gives a nice blending of sweet taste. It
is only recommended for those who have strong teeth! It is really a TOUGH
TOAST!

The first thing that caught our eyes is the interior deco of
the shop when we passed by it. At first glance, we thought it was Cartier or
Mont Blanc kind of shop. The entire shop is painted in black with wooden
shelving, which looks exactly like a boutique.
Unable to figure out what the shop is selling, as there is
literally nothing on the shelves. Only when we saw the signboard and it spells “面包达人”,
then we know it is a bread shop.
Gosh! So little option! Should buy one and try!? Oh! There’s
samplers for tasting! Great! (A little dialogue with my Darling...)
And we, including Ansley, started sampling all of the six
different types of bread. Oh my Goodness! Every piece that we consumes taste
pretty good! You can bet is good as Ansley is constantly pointing at his mouth
and say “Arh…”
Suddenly, we felt spoilt for choices! Not sure what to pick
even though there are only six options!
Hmm….. Er….. Eh….. (Drum rolls please!!!) Our Final Pick….
Looks like SHIT right? Me and Darling are like, “你要吃大便吗?”
But this piece of shit is really delicious! You can find chocolate chips
everywhere in the bread. When you start to feel it’s getting a bit sweet, the
cheese will suddenly popped out from nowhere to harmonize the flavor. It was a
great combination, but you need to eat it fresh!
Overall, I enjoy the breads from DUKE BAKERY! Can’t wait to
try other of their stuffs!

Been wanting to blog on Ansley’s First Day of School since
the very first day, but was down with a SUPER BAD FLU! Don’t have the energy to
talk about it at all!
Parents can only accompanied the toddler for three days, and
I’m with Ansley for 2 days. However, I tried to keep a distance and encourage
him to mingle with his classmates.
ANSLEY IS SUPER CUTE in his uniform!
Okay! Back to the topic! I will consider Ansley to be a very
BRAVE BOY! Being at a totally new environment, he did not cry or show a sign of
fear.
On the second day, I would excused myself now and then, and
monitor him from afar. On my every disappearing act, Ansley will only start
crying at least half an hour later. I really think he is a very reasonable
baby!
On Ansley’s fourth day, we are no longer able to accompany
him in class. So starting from the day before, I kept telling him that we will
not be able to accompany him in class, so he have to be a brave boy.
When I send Ansley off to class on his first day of
independency, he waved GOODBYE to me and walk into the room very CALMLY and
COOLY! Even I peeped in from afar, he is not crying! And when I checked with
the teacher, they all praised him of being a BRAVE BOY!
In JUST THREE DAYS, Ansley is able to have his meal with minimal
assistance!
On the fourth day, when I asked where is his water bottle?
He is able to locate it and pass it to me to pack it into the bag! And the
teachers are very AMAZED!
Initially, Ansley is like a lone ranger roaming around the
classroom by himself!
Finally, towards the end of the day, he starts to stay
together with the rest of the kids.
I am having some mixed feelings with Ansley moving on to his
next phrase of life – HAPPY, but yet 舍不得!
No matter what’s the feeling is! I’m SUPER PROUD of my son’s
performance – He is not only BRAVE, but also very SWEET and CONSIDERATE!
MOMI LOVES YOU, ANSLEY!

Mr. Ansley Tang is always MR. K.P.O, especially when comes to
keeping the environment neat and clean! Nothing can escape from his big, round
eyes!
As Baby Ansley is growing bigger and stronger, his enthusiasm
in helping up is growing bigger and stronger too! For a good reason, I will never
say “NO” to my child, and we gave him the REAL THING ;P
Ansley was super excited when he received the Magic Clean
mop! He will start to maneuver around the house quickly so as to ensure that he
will be able to hit every corner!
He would pick up every strand of hair that he came across…
He would take his little hanky and wipe every corner…
He would also tell you loudly when things are not put
properly… And the CUTEST OF ALL, he would use his PIGGY BAT and treat it as a
mop, and go around the house!
I’M SO PROUD OF MY LITTLE HELPER!!!!
And to reward my LITTLE HARDWORKING HELPER, Darling and I
have bought him a little gift for Christmas! Hope that Ansley will love it!

My first attempt for Carbonara is pretty much a failure! My
eggs were cooked, and ended up, the sauce had a lumpy texture. The texture
really affect the taste of the Carbonara!
And Darling really loves cream based pasta, so I decided to
ATTEMPT CARBONARA AGAIN! I have searched different recipes and came out with my
own version of CARBONARA!
Serving for 2
Ingredients:
- 1 bundle of spaghetti or any kind of pasta
- 6 slices of streaky bacon, cut into dice
- 2 slices of breakfast ham, cut into dice
- 4 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped finely
- ½ cup of heavy cream
Method:
1) Bring to boil a pot of water with some salt, and
add in the pasta
2) Pan fried the bacon at the same time
3) Dish out the bacons once it turns crispy
4) Make use of the bacon oil and add in the garlic
and breakfast ham
5) Add in the al dente pasta into the pan
6) Once the pasta and the ingredients are well
mixed, add in the heavy cream
7) Turn off the fire on the stove when the heavy
cream is heated up
8) Add in the eggs and grated parmesan immediately
9) Mixed well and serve
Darling and I both love the CARBONARA! All the effort is
worth it!
Just a note… Original Carbonara only contains egg, cheese
and bacon. BUT I love to have more sauce in my pasta, so I added the heavy
cream! So UP TO YOU!

It was Pretty Crazy with Ansley over the weekend! He was
literally whining non-stop, especially on Sunday!
Carry… Hug… Scold…. Sayang…. We have tried everything single
thing we could, but he simply don’t stop!
The interesting thing out of the WHINY SAGA is that Ansley
is actually a very sweet and sensitive kid! He seems to know when is the right
time to whine and when to stop.
During our Sunday Class at HAPPY TRAIN, he was whining in
the beginning. But when his classmates are crying and behaving hysterically, he
JUST STOP! He seems to understand that he should not add-on to the tension in
the classroom.
After class, we went home and I started cooking for dinner! Cooking
two different types of Carbonara – Popi version and Baby version – almost drives
me crazy! Saw my hectic action in the kitchen through the glass door, Ansley
seems to know that Momi is busy. Instead of whining, he starts turning circle
to show me and giggle as he turns… SO CUTE!
The SWEETEST MOMENT came during dinner! Dinner is served,
but I need to feed Ansley first, so my food is left untouched. Halfway through
feeding, Ansley started pointing and talk to me loudly! At first, I thought he
is starting his whining regime. But he kept pointing at my pasta, so I asked, “Are
you asking Momi to take my food?” and he nodded his head.
I AM SUPER TOUCH! Ansley is only 17.5 months old and yet he
understand the concept of caring. And especially caring for Momi, I almost gone
into tears!
Through this incident, I truly believe no matter how bad the
day is, our child is like an angel to us! This little angels might be naughty,
but they will love you and care for you no matter what!
